Hi, my name is Lois and it's great to have you here!

A little about me:

I grew up in a small town on the west coast of Florida. I have loved to draw since ever I can remember.  When I was in first grade, I had my picture published in the local newspaper as an advertisement for Borden's Milk. The photographer who took my photo noticed my budding artistic flair and gave me an art case brimming with every supply and how-to book a seven year old could possibly imagine. I was very grateful and very thrilled.

In the third grade I was again inspired. This time by a local author/illustrator team who visited our class. Listening to them helped me to discover what a career in children's books had to offer. 

Flash forward... to make a living and support my family, I chose a career in nursing. For 40 years I worked on my writing and art whenever I had opportunity. But now I'm retired, and thanks to my two lovely daughters, I have what I need to pursue digital art. And I'm loving it!

I am self-taught and find inspiration in everything around me. I hope you find encouragement, connection, and peace in what I bring you.
